Restoration of the Seeber-Schippel organ, Alexander Schuke Orgelbau GmbH, 1996

In the church of St. Kilian in Bedheim there are two baroque organs which were donated by the von Hessberg family.

In 1711 Caspar Schippel from Hildburghausen built a main organ, in 1721 Nicolaus Seeber from Römhild then built the Schwalbennest organ.

A technical masterpiece which makes a unique sound experience possible: far away from the console, the smaller organ hangs above the chancel and, together with the main organ, can be played by an organist on the first manual by means of the 30 metre long abstracts (wooden strips from the key to the organ valve).

In 1996 both organs were restored by our company and perfectly harmonized in their original baroque state.
